My Shoes Didn’t Fit. So I Made My Own.
I’ve always believed shoes should tell a story. Mine just started with one word: “No.”
-
No, we don’t have your size.
-
No, not in that color.
-
No, that's in the men's section.
Growing up,
shoes were my only form of self-expression.
Uniforms covered everything else, but my feet? They were my canvas. Only problem was—my size wasn’t “standard.” As I got older, it got even harder to find shoes that fit both my body and my style. Big feet? No choices. Neurodivergent? Even fewer. Comfort? Forget it.
So eventually, I stopped looking. And started creating.
Grounded Cosmos
was born from that place—the intersection of too-big, too-tired, too-different, and too-done with playing small. I wanted to design shoes that felt like they belonged to me. Not a watered-down version of me. Not a me who settled. But a version of me that could take up space and look good doing it.
Grounded Cosmos is for every person
who’s been told they don’t fit
—physically or otherwise.
We make unapologetic, unisex shoes that prioritize comfort and style. Shoes with a little magic. A little mischief. And a lot of soul.
Because when the world isn’t made for you, the best thing you can do is build your own.
Thanks for walking this path with me.
